FAQ
Every engagement starts with listening. Before we design anything, we use our PRIME / ALIGN / REIMAGINE / ACTIVATE methodology to understand your organization's goals, audiences, and challenges. From there, we co-create — working in close partnership with your team through iterative sprints, not black-box delivery. You'll always know where we are and why.
Both. Some clients come to us with nothing and need to build from the ground up. Others have an existing brand or site that isn't working as hard as it should. We're equally comfortable evolving what's there as we are starting fresh — and we'll tell you honestly which approach makes more sense for you.
Most of our engagements are scoped and priced as a lump sum, so you always know your investment upfront — no surprises. Scope varies by project complexity, timeline, and team size. If you're not sure what you need, our ActionLab workshop is a great first step: it's a focused, facilitated session that surfaces priorities and sets a clear direction before any major commitment.
Studio Analogous is a New York City-based branding, design, and digital experience studio that works with mission-driven organizations and innovative companies. We partner with nonprofits, schools, healthcare organizations, social enterprises, startups, and companies launching new products or services — developing brand strategy, visual identity, websites, and digital products grounded in research and built to create real-world impact.
We specialize in mission-driven sectors — education, healthcare, nonprofits, social enterprises, and government-adjacent organizations — and we also partner with startups and companies launching new products or services. Our clients range from charter school networks and advocacy organizations to health tech startups and consumer brands entering new markets. We also bring a citizen experience design lens to public-sector and civic-adjacent work, where the stakes of getting the experience right are especially high. If your work calls for strategic design and a partner who thinks beyond aesthetics, we're built for that.
Yes. Studio Analogous is a certified Minority and Woman-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE). For organizations with supplier diversity requirements or public funding, we're a qualified partner. We're happy to provide certification documentation upon request.
Yes. We offer full bilingual capabilities in English and Spanish — including research, facilitation, copywriting, and community engagement. This is especially valuable for organizations serving Spanish-speaking communities or working in multilingual environments.
We're based in New York City, with a distributed team and clients across the U.S. and internationally. Most engagements blend remote collaboration with on-site presence for research, workshops, or key milestones — wherever you are, we make it work.
We practice human-centered design and design thinking — meaning we start with the people your organization serves, not assumptions. Before anything gets made, we use our PRIME / ALIGN / REIMAGINE / ACTIVATE methodology to understand your organization's goals, audiences, and challenges. From there, we work in close partnership with your team through iterative sprints — not black-box delivery. You'll always know where we are and why.
An ActionLab is a focused, facilitated strategy session designed to surface your organization's priorities, align your team, and set a clear direction — before any major design commitment. It's a great entry point if you're not sure what you need, or if you want to test the collaboration before a larger engagement.
Yes — facilitation is a core part of what we do, not a side offering. We design and lead co-creation workshops, leadership alignment sessions, strategy offsites, and design thinking intensives for teams at all levels. Sessions can be standalone engagements or integrated into a larger project. We've facilitated for nonprofits, schools, healthcare organizations, startups, and corporate teams — in English and Spanish.
We treat brand as infrastructure — not decoration. For nonprofits and schools, that means aligning identity with mission, making sure your visual and verbal language resonates with every audience you serve (families, funders, staff, community partners), and building systems that your team can actually use and sustain over time.
Timelines vary by scope, but most brand identity engagements run 10–16 weeks, and website projects range from 12–20 weeks. We'll always outline a realistic timeline at the start and flag any factors — like stakeholder review cycles or content readiness — that are likely to affect it.
Most engagements are scoped and priced as a lump sum, so you know your investment upfront — no surprises. Scope varies by project complexity, timeline, and team size. We also offer phased approaches for organizations working within tighter budgets or needing to stage the work over time.
Yes — stakeholder engagement and participatory design are core to how we work, not add-ons. We design and facilitate research sessions, focus groups, co-creation workshops, and community listening processes. We've done this work across education, healthcare, and advocacy contexts, including bilingual sessions.
